In Q1 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on iOS in South America demonstrated diverse performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics for these applications.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads consistently above 130K, peaking at approximately 153K in the week of February 21. Active users showed a steady increase, starting from around 9.8M at the beginning of January and reaching over 10.3M by the end of February.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 94K in late December and dropping to about 55K by the end of March. Active users also varied, beginning at approximately 5.1M and experiencing a slight decline to around 4.8M towards the end of the quarter.
